On Saturday, February 6th, my sister-in-law Desira, married the love of her life, Mitch Light, at
Longshadow Ranch Vineyards and Winery in Temecula. Surrounded by 130 of their closest family and friends, the couple, married by officiant Dominic Llamas (Desira's cousin), said their "I Do's" on a beautifully sunny day. When Desira and Mitch were engaged, she came to me to help design the day. She showed me a few things on Pinterest and then said I had the freedom to design from there. I was so excited and privileged to be able to do this for the both of them. One of our favorite things to do is provide our services to family and friends, especially when we are given creative freedom!
Before the ceremony began at 4:00pm, the wedding party was up early in the morning at the
Hampton Inn & Suites Temecula to get ready. Close friends of the bride, Vanessa and Michelle, were on hand to do the make-up and hair of the bridal party. Neil and Michelle White Photography, more cousins of Desira's, were there to photograph the process, along with all the other special moments throughout the day.

My mother, Sandi Hardman, the Executive Florist of our company, designed all the floral details for the wedding. She took a look at two pictures Desira showed her and built all of these beautiful arrangements from there! This arch piece was by far one of my favorites, as it fit perfectly into the venue and Desira was blown away by them. Sandi designed all the centerpieces, boutonnieres, aisle and arch decor, and sweetheart table floral pieces, while I had the fun of doing bouquets. To match Desira's rustic elegant theme and colors of champagne, silver and navy blue, a variety of flowers such as roses and orchids were purchased from
Mayesh. Sandi complemented the color palette with a light peach to really give everything that romantic feel Desira was looking for.
Our Executive Chef Phil and the bride, Desira (who is also our Second Executive Chef), created and designed a delicious menu for the evening, featuring fun appetizers and mini desserts, along with some classic main dishes and sides.
Lasting Memories Events and Catering staff were on hand to pass appetizers, serve the main course at the buffet line, and assemble desserts. We even had help from Pete of
Pete's Firehouse BBQ and Chef Carl of
The Grove Community Church to make sure everything was prepared perfectly. The menu was definitely a hit among the guest!

Musical entertainment for the night was provided by DJ Chris of
Local Boy DJ. There was also a photo-booth provided by
Jonnie Smiles Photobooth where wedding guests could take fun photos and then bring home a commemorative photo strip. We were so thrilled to be part of Desira and Mitch's wedding day. We love being able to work with our family to make sure all their dreams for the big day come to fruition!

Their bouquets are thoughtful and elegant. Truly a neighborhood gem. The Flowers Delivery prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend paying a visit if you need flowers.
